The 2024 SkiTheBeav Community 5k and Learn to ski day was a great success! Racers of all ages gathered for community races all through the morning, with at least 70 participants — from kindergartners to masters — taking part. The option if you're living or staying in Salt Lake or Ogden is to drive north on I-15, exit at Brigham City and drive north to Logan after which you head east into Logan Canyon for about 25 miles. There are plenty of options for different skill levels and the trails are well-networked. The biggest downside for me is that the mountain is normally only open 9-4. They do offer night skiing for an additional cost on some nights. But overall, amazing snow, great place, and also super cheap. Limited open times.
